Renu Dahal

Renu Dahal (born 4 July 1976 in Shivanagar, Chitwan) is a Nepali politician from the Maoist Centre, daughter of Pushpa Kamal Dahal. She rose to local executive leadership as Mayor of Bharatpur in 2017, narrowly defeating her competitor; she was re-elected in 2022 with stronger support. She has leveraged her political lineage and party backing but also gained a reputation for municipal development work and improving infrastructure, water, roads, and governance in Bharatpur. Her profile has been boosted by both her achievements and recognition (domestic and international).
