Sujata Koirala

Sujata Koirala, born 9 February 1954 in Biratnagar, is the only daughter of former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala. She has been active in politics for many years, rising to senior roles in the Nepali Congress including Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister around 2009-2011. She remains an MP (via party list), heads the International Relations Department of her party, and is widely involved in international political forums. Her work also includes social and philanthropic activities, particularly through trusts named after her family members.
