Upendra Yadav (born 8 January 1961) is a veteran Nepalese political leader known for championing Madhesi rights and federalism. He has served as Deputy Prime Minister multiple times and held the Foreign Affairs portfolio. Over the years he has been associated with several Madhesi-oriented parties and currently leads (or has recently led) the People’s Socialist Party, Nepal. In 2023, after losing his seat in one election, he won a by-election in Bara-2, demonstrating his continued political relevance.
